A collection of some of Western Canada’s flowering prairie plants. These plants are apart of one of Canada’s most endangered ecosystems and they play an important role in it’s diversity. They attract pollinating birds and insects with their bright petals, access and retain moisture through their long roots and leaf forms, provide food for grazing herbivores and insects, and contribute to soil nutrition and water absorption.
