West Texas is a tough but beautifyl expanse of mountains and desert, tumbleweeds and prickly pears, with lonely highways occasionally punctuated by some of the more fascinating small towns you'll ever encounter. Best known as the gateway to Big Bend National Park (and a filming location for Paris, Texas), Marathon is a quietly beautiful town on an arrow-straight section of Highway 90. The skulls on the wall of the Gage Hotel are true West Texas, and speak the same language as a Cormac McCarthy novel.
Shot on medium format film, using Hasselblad 500CM camera.
