This is a 17-point chart showing Ottawa buildings of architectural, cultural, or social importance, all of which were bulldozed or burned out of existence between 1928 and 2014. Personal favourites include the old Citizen Building (I’m always into drawing Edwardian Towers) and the “twin” second empire beauties of the Dominion United Church and the second City Hall, which kept each other company on Eglin Street for a little over three decades. Printed in an open edition, signed and dated on reverse.
